We’re back! Let’s listen to Hadley talk about Ernest and Paul, fishing, and “men of value”

Hi Friends,

I have missed you so much and missed the camaraderie we have created here on these pages!  I am back online with a lot of support from family and friends. They have helped me line up some great new posts and features for The Hemingway Project.

I thought I would start with a new audio clip of Hadley.  Next week I will be posting a story about the last five months of my life, which have been crazy to say the least. After that, I will be publishing regular posts with book reviews, interviews, and much more. In an upcoming Hadley clip, we will be posting the fascinating conversation between Alice and Hadley about Bumby’s experiences as a soldier in World War II.

In the audio clip below, Hadley talks about fishing with Paul and Bumby and meeting with Ernest Hemingway unexpectedly in Yellowstone Park. Fishing was something Bumby and Hadley learned from Hemingway and enjoyed all of their lives. Hadley tells the story with her own gentle humor, ending with her opinion of what a man of value is.

All the best,

Allie
